CNTXT AI just closed a $60 million Series A to sell sovereign AI infrastructure to enterprise and government clients who refuse to hand their data to US or Chinese cloud giants.

Co-led by Abu Dhabi's AI71 and global asset manager BlueFive Capital, this round isn't about another chatbot wrapper. It's about building AI stacks where the customer retains full ownership of their data, models, and inference pipelines.

Munsit Processed Over a Million Minutes of Arabic Speech

CNTXT AI shipped its first serious product in June 2025 by acquiring Actualize, a startup specializing in dialect-aware Arabic voice agents. That bet is paying off. Their flagship, Munsit, has already processed over one million minutes of speech and landed 250+ enterprise clients with 150,000 active users.

Arabic voice AI is a hard domain. Dialects vary wildly across the GCC, North Africa, and the Levant. Munsit handles that nuance while keeping all voice data inside the customer's controlled environment. No data leaves the sovereign boundary.

Oracle, NVIDIA, and AWS Are Already on the Partner List

Founder Mohammad Abu Sheikh has been down this road before. His previous company LocAI was acquired by AI71, which then returned as a co-lead investor. He also runs SMPL AI, a $25 million fund backing early-stage AI startups.

CNTXT AI works with Oracle, NVIDIA, and AWS today. They've supported several major LLM developers on large-scale deployments across multiple markets. The $60 million will accelerate product development and expand into new geographies, but the core pitch stays the same: deploy AI without losing control of your data.

CEO Abu Sheikh put it bluntly: "The era of AI experimentation is over; the era of execution has begun." That execution means building the infrastructure layer that lets governments and regulated industries use AI without a data sovereignty nightmare.

Expect more sovereign AI plays to follow. When a Middle Eastern startup lands $60 million from regional AI funds and global asset managers, the signal is clear: the market for locked-down, auditable AI infrastructure is real and growing fast.
